Is there a way to tell if you would have good speed and connection for dsl internet at your location? I’m thinking of switching to a dsl internet service provider because there are more unlimited bandwidth services for them, but am unsure if I would get a decent connection and speed at my location.

There is a very simple and easy to use applet located at http://www.voipreview.org/voipspeedtester.aspx that will measure your connection speed and then display its performance graphically.
All you have to do is log on at your location and click the button to start the applet.
