What is the meaning of ""fair usage policy"" for Broadband Internet Connection?
I am thinking of subscribing to a wi-max internet broadband connection recently. They will provide me with 256 kbps of bandwidth and unlimited amount of download . however this plan also says the unlimited option depends on Fair usage policy? anyone knows what that means?

The "Fair Use Policy" in an ISP subscription is a limit on how much you can download during a certain time period. This time period might be a day, a week or a month, but it’s very important that you find out. If the fair use policy limit is calculated each day, that means that as soon as you hit the download limit, your connection will be set to dial-up speeds for 24 hours. Fair use policies are a HUGE pain. Hughesnet uses them and they’re the worst company out there. If your fair use policy limit is calculated each day, I strongly recommend you NOT use that company. You’ll be shocked at how easy it is to reach the limit, and all of a sudden, in the middle of a project, you’ve got dial-up speeds.
