What speed do you get your internet at & why is a T-Moble dongle faster than BT hub in my house?

I was getting my internet speed at 0.72MB when I had a BT hub. The BT hub then broke so I got a T-Mobile dongle and I’m now getting internet speeds up to 5.00MB. Why is this faster?

T-Mobile Dongles are well… There mobiles so they need faster networking speeds and your lucky i only have a 512 kb per second speed ;(
