Why would you want wireless internet?
Wired internet is much faster and more reliable, with very little loss of transfer rate vs. Wireless, which is Very unreliable, and much of the transfer rate is lost, nevermind playing a game online
My friend pays over a month for his internet (8Mbps, or roughly 1Mb/s), and due to his wireless setup he gets around 200-300kb/s to his computer. (By the way, we have checked the speed of the internet by using an wired setup and got speeds of 950kb/s)
-.- and 1 more wire to the computer is not difficult/inconvenient (i have a 75ft ethernet cable running from my router to my computer, and no one in my house cares.
So why would you even consider using a wireless internet option?

wireless, gives you the freedom of going around the house. also it sounds like he is not even on wireless g, which is why he is getting a bad wired connection, i have wireless and wired, and i get the same speed on both, he might want to make sure he is using g, or upgrade to wireless n wich is faster than most tradisional wired, connections
I pay for a standard internet connection and with my wireless router, provide my own free wireless signal for use on our laptops.
You can get an N1 router that’s pretty fast, much faster than wireless G and it probably costs around 80$ depending on where you live
hahahaha i beat you
i have a 2 bar signal and i get 2-3mb/s
If you have a netbook or some device that can use wifi like the psp or ipod touch.
